Holiday Stocking Stuffers for a Techie

You may think that buying unique and affordable holiday stocking stuffers for the techie on your holiday shopping list is going to be difficult, if not impossible. However, there are a number of affordably priced items that are perfect holiday stocking stuffers for a techie. Here is a list of some techie holiday stocking stuffers:

USB portable drive: USB drives are perfect for not only the techie, but for almost anyone who uses a computer. USB drives can store valuable documents, pictures, and even e-mails, yet still fit on a keychain. For example, the SanDisk Cruzer Micro has a smart drive that features U3 technology and allows users to store their Outlook e-mail, contacts, and calendar, as well as anti-virus software and online games.

USB flex light: Many techies will travel with their laptops; however, lighting conditions are not always ideal for using a laptop. To this end, there is the USB flex light. This flexible light attaches to the computer's USB port and can provide light anywhere it is needed. The USB flex light uses very little battery power, has a bulb-free LED with a 100,000 hour lifetime, and a small, compact design.

Dilbert desk set: Give your techie the gift of Dilbert humor. The Dilbert desk set contains a portable folder, checkbook cover, memo note cards, and a pen and pencil holder. It can be paired with other Dilbert items like a "de-motivational" poster and a cubicle doorbell.

USB digital photo frame: A digital photo frame is the perfect gift for your techie, and he or she can keep it at their home, office, or cubicle. Digital photo frames allow the user to upload and show different photos from the same photo frame, and often come with additional features like an MP3 player. Digital photo frames used to cost several hundred dollars, but have since come down in price considerably. The following digital photo frame retails for under $30.

Solar-powered charger: Electronic devices are great until their batteries run low. To combat this problem, you may wish to give your techie a solar-powered charger. Solar-powered chargers contain batteries that convert the energy from the sun into forms that can be applied towards digital cameras, cell phones, portable DVD players, and eBook readers.

Liquid mouse: Why should a techie settle for a boring black, gray, or white mouse, when there are a variety of liquid mice that contain aquariums, soccer fields, or winter scenery? The liquid mouse is a standard sized mouse whose bottom half is filled with liquid, much like a snow globe. Inside that liquid one can find all kinds of unique and fun objects, like fish, snow, soccer balls, flowers, etc.

I know a tech person who is nuts about Dilbert. THanks for the suggestion.
