When making these cocktails I recommend not buying the cheapest bottles of alcohol that you can get your hands on. It is definitely worth it to spend a little bit of extra money to get the better quality alcohol. You will be able to taste the difference in the cocktails between the cheap liquor and the more quality liquor. There is not that big of a price difference. But, if you cannot afford the better liquor it would be fine to use the cheapest. It will not make your drink taste bad, but it will definitely hurt the taste.
