Anytime between November 1 and the end of December is a great time for a wedding if you love the holidays. One of the greatest gifts to give your family and friends are Christmas ornaments. Even though there is likely to be family or friends that do not believe in the meaning of Christmas you can be assured that most of them do put up a tree. Or you can make sure whatever ornament you purchase can be put on a wall as a decoration.
You can purchase ornaments with a smooth surface and write on them the date of your wedding and your names.
Make the ornament from scratch.
You can use flat sheets of wood cut into many different shapes, moons, hearts, stars and so on.
Than have it painted in high gloss paint in one of your wedding colors. Than the creative part is up to you.
You can purchase stamps and embossing ink which can put a number of beautiful designs on the ornaments.
There are places where you can get your photos put onto any flat surface ornaments are no exception.
You can purchase plain but colored Christmas Balls in the colors of your wedding and have someone who writes calligraphy and have them write a piece
of your wedding vows with a gold or silver marker onto the ball.
If you do not like Christmas ornaments go for signs of winter such as snowflakes. From craft stores you can buy boxes of different shaped glass
snowflakes. These are great because in your speech you can explain that each snowflake is precious and unique like all your friends and family.
Silver Bells are also a classic wedding gift for any season but even more poignant for winter. They can also ring the bell every time they want the bride
and groom to kiss.
These are just a few ideas that wont indent the pocket book too much and will help give a holiday wedding and unique feel. The great thing about all of these gifts they can be assorted in glass bowls or large unique shaped vases as centerpieces for the tables. Than once the reception cools down and people start leaving they can take part of the decoration and something beautiful to remember your special day.
