The annual Christmas in the Pines Tree Lighting event will be held on Thursday, November 30th 2006 this year. The event is the lighting of the largest Christmas tree in the Southwest, and includes holiday music and caroling, sleigh rides and, of course, visits with Santa Claus himself. Bring the entire family for a day full of holiday magic and fun. You won't want to miss the Christmas tree lighting, just in time to get you in the mood to decorate your own holiday pine at home for the season.

The annual Christmas in the Pines - Parade of Lights & Holiday in the Park will be held on Saturday, December 9th 2006 this year. The Parade will take place in midtown Ruidoso, starting at the corner of Sudderth & Mechem.
The Parade of Lights will be the largest holiday parade in the Southwest, with floats packed with seasonal decorations, lights and plenty of festive folks. Be sure to attend this annual event and enjoy the amazing sights and sounds of the parade. The child in everyone will love this Christmas parade and it will be the perfect way to usher in the 2006 holiday season.
The Holiday in the Park will take place in Wingfield Park. Scheduled events include strolling musicians performing holiday music to listen to as you visit the many shops in the downtown district filled with New Mexico treasures. There will also be a Choir and children's rides.

The 20th Annual Ruidoso Christmas Jubilee will be held on November 10th through 12th, Friday Noon to 6:00pm, Saturday 10am to 6mp, Sunday 11am to 4pm.
The Ruidoso Christmas Jubilee features over 80 Lincoln County Merchants, offering an exquisite holiday shopping experience for young and old alike. Santa will be on hand both Saturday and Sunday for the children to visit. Admission is free for children and only $1 for adults. A Scottish Christmas can be celebrated on Sunday, December 17th 2006 at 3:30pm on the University of New Mexico Main Campus, corner of Redondo and Cornell.
Celebrated fiddler Bonnie Rideout leads a party of legendary Celtic musicians and dancers from Scotland, North America and Ireland who join their talents in a delightful and festive show of tuneful agility. The performance includes pipe tunes, rousing reels and touching carols. Traditional song include "Oh Come, Oh Come Emanuel" and "Auld Lang Syne," A Scottish Christmas is a lively, authentic tribute to a Highlands holiday. On Saturday, December 23rd 2006 from 6:00 to 8:00pm you can experience a Navajo Nativity. This holiday performance is presented by Four Corners Home for Children, located at 2103 W Main, in nearby Farmington, NM 87401.
