Holidays at Winter Wonderland at the John Hancock Observatory in Chicago

The John Hancock Observatory is one of Chicago's towering landmarks, located on the Magnificent Mile in the City of Chicago. Winter Wonderland at the John Hancock Observatory is offering holiday activities from November 1 - December 31, 2010. After the Winter Wonderland closes for the season, the John Hancock will launch Skating in the Sky, an ice skating rink located 1,000 feet up in the sky.

The City of Chicago is festively decorated for the holiday season, with special events including the German Christmas Market at Daley Plaza, Festival of Lights on the Magnificent Mile, Winter Wonderland at Navy Pier and more. The John Hancock Observatory is one of Chicago's premier attractions. Winter Wonderland at the John Hancock is bound to be a memorable experience for children and adults to share.

The skyscraper with the best views in the City of Chicago is a great place to take the family during the holiday season. Meet Santa in the festively decorated tower, 1,000 feet up the tallest chimney in Chicago - the John Hancock Center.

Winter Wonderland is an enchanting experience for the family. The Wonderland will be decorated with Christmas favorites, including the holiday train and Santa's sleigh. The experience includes a free family photo, free tickets to the Museum of Science and Industry and family friendly activities. For every full adult ticket you get one free youth admission, making a family excursion to the holiday attraction more economical for families.

Special events during the holiday season include coloring competitions, face painting, cookie time, Breakfast with Santa and Pictures with Santa. See the Hancock Observatory website for specifics on dates and times. Adults $39, Youth $29, Infant $19. Call 877.-875-6940 for reservations.

Santa Claus will be at the John Hancock on specific dates during the holiday season. Breakfast with Santa is a special event that includes breakfast and pictures with Santa. Tickets are required and reservations are recommended because spots fill up in advance.

On Christmas Eve, December 24, 2010, Santa will be at the John Hancock for photo opportunities before he takes off on his Christmas rounds.

The Winter Wonderland ends on New Year's Eve, but the fun at John Hancock continues. Skating in the Sky opens on January 1 and runs through March 31, 2011. Skating in the Sky is a synthetic ice skating rink up more than 1,000 feet in the sky.
