As always, when I'm compiling any kind of list, I try and ignore the more obvious choices that can appear in these lists and introduce something new. With that in mind here is my list of the twenty five hottest men in Hollywood, from the silver and television screens.

25) Matt Damon There is something undeniably cute about Matt Damon. He first won the hearts of many a girl when he starred in Saving Private Ryan, this movie, I think, bringing him to the public eye more than his debut, Good Will Hunting. Since then he has transformed into a muscle bound action man with a soft side of course!

24) Will Smith First appearing on our screens as the Fresh Prince of Bel Air, it wasn't until he became a blockbuster star that he achieved hot status. Wearing a white vest in Independence Day and being unashamedly cool in everything he does also helps cement his place in this list.

23) Eric McCormack The lead male character in Will & Grace, Eric McCormack is a classically handsome man. He is fortunate to have fantastic eyes, a great smile and an almost perfectly symmetrical face.

22) Julian McMahon Star of Nip/tuck and the villain in the Fantastic Four outings, Julian is an Australian actor who deserves more recognition, both for his acting and good lucks. He is at his sexiest when he is being interviewed and you can hear his Aussie accent in all of its glory.

21) Jared Leto When Jared Leto first came on the scene in the teen drama My So Called Life, he was an astonishingly beautiful young man. Piercing blue eyes, flawless skin and that mysterious air about him all added up to a man who could easily have a million girls hopelessly in lust with him.

20) Greg Kinnear Now, I know that this is not a name you would expect to find in this kind of list, but to anyone who doubts that Mr Kinnear should be here, I urge you, next time you see him in a movie, take a good luck. The man is cute! Add to that he seems like a really nice guy and you have a hot man of Hollywood.

19) Billy Zane Not many men can pull off being bald, but Billy Zane can. In most of his roles he does have hair but I think he looks hotter when he's bald. He has a great body, soulful eyes and a wickedly charming smile.

18) Hugh Grant The classic English gent in most of his movie roles, as we all know he can be quite different in real life. He is very sexy in his bad boy roles, such as Daniel in Bridget Jones' Diary and...well, that's the only bad boy role I can think of! But it is true that when he lets some of his natural cheekiness into his performances there is something much more attractive about him.

17) Vince Vaughan Hot because he can make you laugh and because he has an attitude of what you see, is what you get. He has confidence and style, yet also has that lazy, deadbeat vibe about him. Any woman that gets involved with him with have a struggle to change him and make him grow up, and thats all part of his charm.

16) Jim Carrey The funny man is definitely at his hottest in his more serious roles. The big brown puppy dog eyes were played to full effect in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. The insane faces of yesteryear do still make an appearance from time to time, but Jim is a man who gets more attractive with age and maturity.

15) Mark Ruffalo Another actor who deserves much bigger roles and acclaim. Mark Ruffalo is a very good looking man, with deep brown eyes, chiselled good looks, and an unmistakeable air of masculinity.

14) Ryan Phillippe A man who has an angelic face, beautiful blue eyes and a very cute smile. He will make an amazingly attractive older man, but for now he still has that schoolboy charm.

13) Michael C. Hall The star of Dexter, was there ever a more attractive serial killer? This man has a brooding look to his eyes and a smouldering charisma surrounding him.

12) David Duchovny A long time crush of mine, David Duchovny has the cute everyman look that a lot of women go crazy for while still maintaining a slight bad boy lifestyle. He has a lot of sex appeal and though he is starting to get on in years he's still capable of charming the audience in all his roles.

11) Chris Evans For anyone who hasn't seen Chris Evans in The Fantastic Four, I advise you to take a look. He is very, very hot in this movie; his fantastic body is seen shirtless on more than one occasion.

10) Jason Bateman While not hot in the conventional sense, Jason Bateman is undeniably cute. He has a great sense of humour and his smiling eyes could easily make you fall in love with him.

9) Adam Garcia Certainly not a man who has made a huge impact in the Hollywood movie industry, he is still a man of considerable talents and without a doubt considerable hotness. I first noticed him twelve years ago when he performed on UK television to promote his stage version of Saturday Night Fever. He has since appeared in small roles in many movies and TV shows, and is a very handsome man with a nice Aussie accent.

8) Val Kilmer He's a great actor, though he has starred in some turkeys and is also very hot, a mixture of humour, nice eyes and a cute smile. He is a man who gets better with age, and is also hotter when he has a little weight on him.

7) Jake Gyllenhaal There's something very cute about him that is not easy to define. It could be his boy next door image, his deep blue eyes or his full lips. It could be his soft voice and his gentle laugh. It could be his strong muscular body. Whatever it is, Jake is very hot, a good actor and still appears to be a down to earth guy.

6) Tom Selleck He epitomized cool as Magnum P.I. and somehow managed to pull off wearing ridiculous shorts through most of the series. He won many new fans playing the role of Monica Gellar's boyfriend Richard in Friends, arguably the hottest he's ever been.

5) Tom Welling Another Tom, another hot man. Watching the young Superman it is easy to get drawn in to the man's eyes, his impish smile making you feel like a schoolgirl again. Add to that his amazing body, and you have a package of a man that any girl would love to be swept off their feet by.

4) Pierce Brosnan A classically handsome man who only gets better with age. He was the coolest Bond ever, and is likely to hold on to that title for years to come. No matter what he appears in, he always has that perfectly styled and tailored look, a favourite among women of any age.

3) Robert Downey Jr. What other man could put his body through so much abuse and come out on the other side looking hotter than ever? His baby face and boyish charm of his early day is long gone, and what's replaced it is a confident masculine, very sexy man, with a great body and a likeability that keeps you coming back for more.

2) Ioan Gruffudd A Welsh actor who has taken roughly ten years to break into Hollywood, his handsome features are bound to bring him to the top. He has very high sex appeal, exuding confidence and masculinity. Hearing him in interviews and listening to his Welsh accent is guaranteed to make you want him even more.

1) Eric Bana Well, what can I say about my number one choice? Eric Bana is an amazing actor, who is so hot I cry myself to sleep sometimes over it. That is a joke of course, but every time I see him I think of how lucky his wife is. He has finally reached A-level status, after a few years of appearing in small roles he is now the leading man in dramas, rom-coms and more. He has an amazing body, and though he loses and puts on weight for several roles, his hotness never changes. His eyes sparkle and draw you in, and his mouth makes you think wicked thoughts.
