From the moment these flicks went into production the entertainment world buzzed with excitement. Hollywood hunk Chris Klein revived the legend of "Captain America" with a stellar cast and stunning special effects. The tale of this American hero took $65,058,524 at the box office opening weekend. The final tally for this flick at the box office soared to an exceptional tally of approximately $172,272,760.
Like "Captain America," summer adventure flick "The Green Lantern" took movie goers by surprise. The movie buzz behind this film reached frenzy levels when producers confirmed Ryan Reynolds in the lead green hero. Legions of Reynolds' fans lined up for days just to buy the hottest flick ticket of the summer. The reprisal of one of the most popular comic book heroes saw this green clad hero save the day in a heralding way. "The Green Lantern" production cost a record $200,000,000 and massed as much as $214,000,000 in the overall summer ticket box office sales.
