Hollywood Review: The Best Movies of Chuck Norris

My Personal Choice

Joey Liam
Chuck Norris is one of my favorite actors in Hollywood. I practically grew up watching his movies and never missed any episode of his television series "Walker, Texas Ranger" from 1993 to 2001. What's not to like about all the movies starred by Chuck Norris? They were all action-packed and riveting. And here are few of my favorites:

Code of Silence (1985) - When his fellow cops engage in illegal activities, Eddie Cusack (Norris), a Chicago detective known for his integrity and honesty, becomes a one-man enemy of the police force. Without fear, Cusack breaks the force's "code of silence" to expose the anomalies of his peers. With the help of "Prowler," a rocket-equipped tank which Cusack controls remotely, he takes on the enemies with full courage and determination with only one thing going through his mind: stop the corruption of the Chicago police force at all cause.

Lone Wolf McQuade (1983) - Perhaps this film ignites Chuck Norris' long-time television saga "Walker, Texas Ranger" which is produced ten years after the release of this fantastic action movie. The story is about a rebellious, crime-stopping Texas ranger, McQuade (Norris), who is dragged into fearless battles by his foes when they kidnap his daughter and start an arm smuggling operation in his town. David Carradine (Kung Fu) is McQuade's arch-enemy and their face-off is nothing short of spectacular ... one of the best martial arts scenes in Hollywood film history.

Return of the Dragon (1973) - This movie has the ultimate face-off of all martial arts films: Chuck Norris versus Bruce Lee. What makes Norris and Lee's fight scene more interesting and memorable is the location: the Roman Colosseum, a legendary stadium in which gallant slaves and dauntless warriors used to fight for their lives against anything or anyone just to attain freedom they long for, but death always stops the realization of their dream. Needless to say, death strikes again in the Norris-Lee duel.

I have many other Chuck Norris' films to review but I will leave that for another day. For the meantime, check out the films I mentioned above but make sure, you have your popcorn or any favorite snack by your side because you would not want to leave your seat once these films start rolling. I have to watch another one of Norris' movies so until next review.

Why can't Mr. Schwarzenegger be like Chuck? It would have been great if he's the Governor of Caifornia. Great work, Mr. Norris!

I hadn't followed him much until lately when he supported Mike Huckabee. I've enjoyed hearing him speak during guest appearances on various programs. Must watch some of these movies.

I really like Chuck Norris, too. And I also appreciate the way he works with young people to build self-esteem.

Return of the Dragon is one of my personal favorites. Chuck Norris was not just special effects either, this guy was the real deal. Nicely done Joey.
