Holy M-Ole!: A Review of Cusquena Premium Peruvian Beer from Compania Cervecera Del Sur Del Peru S.A. (Cervesur)

I've got to tell you, I miss blogging about beer! But I have a little daughter now and there is no room in the budget where beer is concerned. Nothing bloggable anyhow! I'll occasionally buy a beer but I avoid the specialty stores because the bottles themselves pull you into their magical snare and the content becomes secondary. At least for me it does. Of course I wasn't saying that when I was buying them and getting shite in the overpriced bottles!
Anyhow, I still get notices about new releases and this one came through the old e-mail and I responded to it with a: send me some beer and I'll review it. So they did and here I am. A malt lager at that! Isn't the thing which kills most lagers for us snobs the fact that they are crack-ho thin with little body and a slapshot of biting dry vegetable taste? I think so.
Well, this is the cure for the common American macro lager. It has lager brains but a definite malty heart. I'm not saying that this is a craft beer chocked-to-the-teets ale which licks your lips for ye but it's darn good for what it bees my bruthas! I'm not sure what Miller plans to sell this for cost-wise in the abbreviated 11.2 fl. oz. bottles but if the price is commiserate with a 6 pack of Bud you might as well go for this classy bottle with the tinfoil gold heart cap that says: well...I don't know exactly what the hell it says but it sure talks better to me than that gear grease horse urine that they have been feeding us in troughs for years. Olé!

PS...don't blame me for the missing umlauts as the server turned them into Atari creatures so I had to change them!
