How Metallic Gold Walls Look and Feel

When it comes to choosing a color for the walls of your home you'll want to take you're time in deciding. Try imagining all sorts of colors until you find the one that feels just right. There are so many colors to choose from when it comes to painting and decorating that if you choose too quickly you may not be satisfied with the end result. A wall color gives more than just a new look, it also creates a new feeling for the room.

The wall color you choose should feel good. It should also match the other colors of the room. When adding a new color to your color scheme care should be taken. It'll have to blend with all of the other colors of the room without clashing. Metallic gold can do just that in almost any color combination. It can also match many of the rooms accents and accessories.

Metallic gold should not be confused with yellow gold. They are two very separate colors. Metallic gold paint is a very soft color. It's not really yellow. It's the color of your gold wedding band or watch. It's subtle, shiny, soft and pleasing. It is a delicate yet bold color. It has a satiny look which is simple yet so elegant.

To use any metallic paint in a home is a bit unusual but that is the charm of it. You'll be creating a room that is totally unique. I think that metallic gold could be tastefully used on the walls of any room in a home, right down to the bathroom. It is different. Beautiful and fun. It is sure to brighten up any room leaving it with tons of unique charm.

To go the total distance and fully cover the walls with metallic gold is an option. It would work for a master bedroom well, with a good wall border and lace curtains. It could also give a teen an awesome room redo. Teens love anything unusual.

Another option is to paint only the lower half of the walls with the metallic gold. The rest of the walls would get covered with another color or wall paper. When the lower half of the walls are done a wall border is generally applied where the top and bottom colors meet. A metallic gold works great on the bottoms of walls because it automatically complements the other colors on the wall, and in the room.

Walls should always be prepared before any new paint is applied. Prepare your walls by removing wall hangings, and their nails, screws, etc. Use sheetrock mud to fill in any cracks, holes, or nicks in the wall. Metallic gold looks best on a smooth flawless surface. One coat will likely be sufficient. Apply two if you'd like a brighter look. Allow twenty four hours to dry before replacing wall hangings or moving furniture back against the walls. Thanks for reading and take care!
