You can make several home decorating crafts using pipe cleaners and pompoms. Pipe cleaners and pompoms can be purchased very inexpensively at most local dollar stores and craft stores. Pompoms and pipe cleaners also come in a variety of colors, designs, and sizes. This article will provide you with detailed instructions for creating home decorating crafts using pipe cleaners and pompoms.

Coaster

Coasters will keep your table safe and add decoration. For this home decorating craft you will need cardboard, pompoms, pipe cleaners, a hot glue gun, hot glue sticks, a large mug, a pencil, and scissors. Start using a large mug to trace circles onto the cardboard. Cut out the circles using the scissors.

Start by bending one of the pipe cleaners into a tight spiral. Glue it to the center of the cardboard circle. Then add another pipe cleaner around the first. Continue until you reach the edge of the circle. Add glue along the way to secure the pipe cleaners in place. Then wrap a pipe cleaner around the edge of the cardboard and glue it in place. Glue pompoms all over the other side of the coaster. Then add another pipe cleaner around the edge of the pompoms to keep the round shape of the coaster. When decorating these coasters for your home you can choose craft items that match or contrast your décor.

Curtain Ties

Another home decorating craft using pipe cleaners and pompoms is a curtain tie back. For this craft you will need a screw hook, a large pompom, a hot glue gun, hot glue sticks, scissors, and pipe cleaners. Using pine cleaners and pompoms that match or contrast your curtains is a good idea.

Start by screwing the hook into the wall where curtain will be pulled back. Then gather three pipe cleaners together and fold in half. Twist the folded end slightly to make a loop. Make sure the loop is big enough to fit the pompom through it. Then braid the ends of the pipe cleaners to you reach the end. Tie the pipe cleaners into a knot at the end of the braid.

Use the hot glue to add a pompom to the end of the braid. Slip the loop though the hook and pull back the curtain. Wrap the curtain with the tie back and push the pompom through the loop to secure the curtain in place.

These home decorating crafts are a great way to add style to your home for very little money. Try using pipe cleaners and pompoms for these home decorating crafts, and you will love the results.
