If you want to enjoy your outdoor area but do not want to break your budget, you can do it with some creative ideas and a few cans of paint. Here are some ideas to get your on your way to creating a luxury outdoor living space.
Make your barbeque grill a focal point - repaint it! Shop for high heat ultra spray paint and give the grill a facelift. Think about using colors other than black - maybe brown or aged copper? If you feel adventurous try a daring shade of red or orange.
Use accents to set the mood of your outdoor space. If you want a vibrant area, paint simple tables or planters in bright colors and place them in clusters around a seating area. For more tranquil outdoor space, use muted and pastel colors on lanterns and flower pots. In addition to colors, you can use items such as trellises and lattice work to highlight your outdoor space. Use them to create a feeling of "walled space" or barriers to give a feeling of privacy to your outdoor space.
Before you throw out old planters and flower pots, consider updating them with a few coats of spray paint. Check out some of the new metallic hues to use to add a touch of sophistication to older pieces. Spray paints even come in textures, such as stone, which can make plastic containers look like their expensive counterparts. If you like bright colors - use them! A colorful assortment of planters and pots can add drama to an outdoor space.
After updating your flower pots and planters, add an assortment of flowers and plants and cluster them around sitting areas and steps in your outdoor room. Groups of bright flowers and lush plants will add visual interest to your space.
Upscale patio furniture can cost thousands of dollars. You can give your old furniture a designer look for much less by investing in some contemporary paimnt colors such as bisque, aged iron or deep forest. You could use the color expresso to make a patio table become a café fixture. Experiment with textured paints for a luxurious finish.
The only limits to transforming your outdoor space from a simple patch of green to a vibrant living space are found in your imagination. Use your creativity, to add personal flair to the outside of your property as well as the inside.
