Home Depot Kids Workshops: Great Family Fun

What a Great Way to Spend Time with Your Kids!

Thomas Griffin
Have you ever wanted to go do something special with your kid(s) and had trouble thinking of unique things to do? Through word of mouth I stumbled upon this excellent opportunity that I just had to share with my fellow AC community.

Home Depot Kids Workshops are free workshops designed to teach your kids basic building and tool safety techniques while allowing you some one on one time with your child. Designed for children ages 5-12, these workshops are offered on the first Saturday of every month from 9 am until noon. These simple "how-to" workshops are a wonderful learning experience for both you (the adult) and your child. Items that have been built include toy wooden wagons, trivets, picnic caddies, bean bag tosses, toolboxes, firetrucks and much more!

During the building task your child will be taught basic do-it-yourself and how-to skills. Your child be guided through the building process as he/she learns the important things about building and tool safety. When the task is over, your child will also receive a mini orange apron (much like the orange apron store employees wear) and an achievement pin.

Here are some interesting and unique facts about the Home Depot Kids Workshop program:

Approximately 17.5 million children have attend a Kids Workshop since its inception in 1997
Over 1 million children created and built their first toolbox at the workshop
On average, anywhere from 75-200 kids attend a Kids Workshop

As you can see, this is such a marvelous educational and fun experience for both you and your child. If you are looking for something fun and interesting to do your with kid(s), be sure to contact your local Home Depot Store to find out more information about a Kids Workshop in your area. Don't miss out on this exciting opportunity to spend time and have fun with your kid(s)!

Personally, I am so excited I came across this idea. I've heard so many good comments from friends and family about how much fun the workshop was and how much they as the adults learned in the process. Think of this not only as an opportunity for your child to learn but also an opportunity for you the parent to learn and grow as well. Now go and find out more information today!
