Green is a commonly used color in decorating. From hunter to sage the look is amazing and refreshing as well. Whether it be on the walls, the floors, or a new green sofa and chair you'll be sure to love the way in not only looks, but also the way it feels.

All colors have color symbolism. For example, yellow makes people feel happy, cheerful, optimistic and energized. Red is the color of passion and makes us feel charged and sophisticated. The color green is no exception.

Green is an earth color. Why do I call it that? Well, because when you think of nature and all it contains a good part of it is green. Nature shares several shades of green with us. From bright and almost fluorescent to pale and subdued. The color green is a natural color.

Green is a great color to use on walls, cabinets, or for furniture or carpets because it is not to dark yet not too bright. The naturalness of it can blend with any décor style from high tech and modern to country. It is a very versatile color as are all of it's shades.

All shades of green seem to blend very well with other colors. This means should you choose to go green it will not interfere with the other colors in your color scheme. It blends very well and yet still keeps it's naturalness.

The look of green is great but how does one feel sitting in a room that is the color sage, for example? Color symbolism comes into play when we think about how we feel when we are surrounded by the specific color.

The color green and all of it's shade are earthly and natural. They make people feel about the same way that they would if sitting on a log in the middle of the woods. Peaceful. Still, calm, and quiet. Green is a good color for a room that should be a relaxing place such as a bedroom or retreat. Green walls in the bathroom make a person feel as fresh as the dewdrops on the leaves at dawn. A green kitchen feels homey, nurturing and relaxed. Green and all of it's shades have a great soothing affect on people.

People who will especially love both the look and feel of green décor are those such as animal and nature lovers. Green can bring a little bit of that feeling you get when in nature inside. It can make the inside and outside feel more like one and not so separate.

The color green is a great color for any area of the home. It is versatile, refreshing and also blends well with all other colors and decorating styles. Thanks for reading and take care!
