Home Made Applesauce

Mary Wensing Dvorachek
Peel and slice apples, soak in salt water, then drain and cook over high flame until the apples start to bubble, stir occasionally until the apples are mushy (I use a potato masher to get the large lumps out) (we love to have some lumps). Add sugar and cinnamon to taste. Then pour in jars, top with lids and rims, and process in a hot water bat for 25 5o 30 minutes.

***(I prefer to just fill my jars/ or containers with the applesauce to 3/4 full and let cool and then freeze) It is so much faster, and I don't have to process.
