1. Salt and water I love this home remedy. When my throat hurts in the morning, I do this every time. These remedy helps me get rid of my sour throat fast. If you get up in the morning and still have that sore throat after taking medicine, try this. Take a cup of warm water, and sprinkle some salt. Try to gargle the salt and water before you go to bed and when you get up. This would make your throat feel better when you are sleeping and when you get up. The salt would make you sore throat feel better. The salt would kill the germs, and bacteria inside your mouth.
2. Use oregano for coughs.
If you have a strong cough that does not go away, use oregano. Oregano is use everywhere to give flavor to your food, but is also good to stop a strong cough. First, add a cup of water and a small amount of oregano. Let the water and oregano boil. When the water is boiling, remove it from the stove, and drained the oregano. Once you done this, it would be best for you to drink it hot. Best time to drink this is at night before you go to bed.
3. Lemon, cayenne pepper, maple syrup
When I feel that I am catching a cold I make myself a cup hot lemon, cayenne pepper in addition, maple syrup. I use this when I feel that I am coming down with a cold. When you have the first symptom of the cold for example: Sore throats, and small amount of running nose, try making yourself a cup of this drink. I know you heard that this drink is use for a detox. However, it also could be use when you are catching a cold. When preparing this drink, try to use organic lemon, and organic maple syrup. Preparing this drink is easy. 1. Boil one cup of water, when finish put it on a cup.2. Cut the lemon in half, and use only one lemon. Squeezed the lemon inside your cup. 3. Add two-table spoon of organic maple syrup. 3. Sprinkle a pinch of cayenne pepper to the drink, and stir the drink while drinking it hot. This drink works for me and has save me from catching the cold. You must drink this drink early when sign are visible, and two times a day.
4. Warm Bath
Take a Warm Bath or Shower I feel better after a warm bath or shower when I have a cold. A warm bath can help you relax and the steam will relieve some sinus and chest congestion.
5.Green tea
Also you could try to drink green tea, when you feel that you are catching a cold. If you prefer to drink this than the lemon, cayenne pepper, and maple syrup, drink it. I would drink the green tea twice a day, morning, and afternoon.
So if you are like me that needs something quick that is going to work, and not drained your pockets, try this home remedies next time when you have the first symptom of the cold.
