Many of us have sensitive skin that is prone to acne. Acne outbreaks happen more often in those with sensitive skin. But, even if your skin that is properly balanced you can still have an acne outbreak if you neglect your skin and do not clean it properly. A regular skin care routine that consist of washing, ex foliating and adding moisturizer should be carried out by each and every one of us. In addition to a cleansing routine, we should also take special care of our diet since it directly affects the skin. Diets high in fats and sugars can lead to acne. A healthy diet should consist of the proper combination of fruits, vegetables, lean meats, and water. In addition, we need to add vitamins and minerals such as Zinc and Vitamins A and B to our diet.

Vinegar is used to detoxify the body but it also works wonders on your skin as a rinse. Dip a cotton ball dipped in vinegar and rub it around your face while massaging it into your skin for approximately two minutes. The vinegar will kill any bacteria on the surface of your skin and deep down in the pores. After applying the vinegar wash your face with cold water. Do not over do it on the vinegar as an excess of vinegar on the skin could lead to irritation.
An oatmeal treatment is a great way to reduce high levels of oil in your skin. Make a paste of oatmeal and apply it to your face as a mask. The grittiness of the oatmeal ex foliates and dries out your skin.
When you remove the oatmeal mask, wash your face clean with cold water.
Here is a sweet surprise! Make a facial paste made of apples and honey by removing the skin from an apple and grating it. Mix the grated apple with honey and apply it to your face. Keep it on for about twenty minutes. After you remove the apple and honey mixture, wash your face with warm water. This process will show positive changes if you apply the mixture twice a week.
Tea Tree Oil is a natural product found at any herbal store or on the Internet. Tea tree oil has been proved to effectively clear up acne and works great when you have a sudden outbreak of acne. Apply tea tree oil to the area of skin that has acne on it. Let it set for fifteen minutes. Wash your face with cold water. Tea tree oil is known to have immediate results.
Rocky Balboa is not the only one that benefits from egg whites. Blend some egg whites and a teaspoon of lemon juice and apply the mixture to your skin.
The mixture will harden. You can either keep it on for a half hour or sleep with this mask on overnight. When you are done wearing the egg whites, wash your face with cold water.
Another home remedy to treat acne is a banana. Peel back the banana skin and mash the insides with a tablespoon of honey. Once this mixture is combined well, add sour cream to make a thick paste. When it is time to remove the banana mixture, wash it off with cold water.
