Summer will be here soon and with it come the bees, wasps and mosquitoes, not to mention a whole lot of other pests that bite and sting. If you can't avoid a bite or sting from these pests, use these all natural home remedies to ease the reactions that come with it.

Home Remedies for Bites and Stings: Activated Charcoal

Activated charcoal draws the stingers out from these pests as well as the pain, itching, and swelling that comes from a sting or bite. You will need to make a paste with activated charcoal to rub on the affected area. To make a paste take two or three capsules of activated charcoal and open them up. Add some water to it to make it into a paste. Rub this paste on the area where you were bitten or stung. After about 30 minutes, take a wet wash cloth and wipe the paste off. This will help ease any reactions you might have from a bite or a sting.

Home Remedies for Bites and Stings: Ice

Ice or any kind of cold pack will help ease the pain and swelling from a bite or sting. Use crushed ice or frozen vegetables and wrap it in a towel and hold it on the affected area for a little while until the pain, itching, and swelling goes away.

Home Remedies for Bites and Stings: Vinegar

You can use either plain white vinegar or apple cider vinegar for this home remedy for bites and stings. Just pour some vinegar on the area where you were bitten or stung and it will ease it right up. You can also mix vinegar with baking soda or if you are out of vinegar and baking soda, use lemon juice instead.

Home Remedies for Bites and Stings: Garlic

Garlic works well to repel insects from biting you in the first place. Your breath might stink but at least you won't get bitten or stung. Add some extra garlic to your food regularly to keep the pests away.

Home Remedies for Bites and Stings: A Knife

Once you are stung by a bee or wasp you want to get the stinger out right away to prevent anymore venom from entering your system. Take a knife and scrape the stinger off. Don't use tweezers because they can cause you to squeeze more venom into your system.

Home Remedies for Bites and Stings: Unscented Soap

Once you are bitten or stung, take a plain, unscented bar of soap and apply it to the affected area. Just wet the skin where the bite or sting is and apply some soap to it to ease the pain, itching, and swelling caused by the bite or sting. Make sure to use unscented soap as to not irritate your skin.

By using these home remedies to ease the pain, itching, and swelling caused by a bite or a sting you can enjoy your summer pain free and stay out of the emergency room. If you are allergic to bees or any kind of pest, go to the emergency room immediately.
