Make sure that you are drinking enough fluids. When you drink eight glasses of water each day, you are helping your nasal passages by hydrating your tissues. Even the tissues in your nasal passages will be hydrated.
Fill a dropper with warm water and fill each nostril. This will help relieve your dry nose. This is better than having to go to the drug store to purchase a saline solution. While this is as effective as warm water, you end up paying more.
Put Vaseline on a Q-tip and apply to the inside of your nose. This provides instant relief to your dry nose and helps keep your nasal passages moister for a longer period of time.
While you can spend money at a store for a humidifier, you can bring moisture to your house without spending the extra money. Fill cans of water and place them around your house. Place them near your heating sources. For example, if you have radiators, put a can on top of them. The moister the air in your home, the better it will be for your nose.
If you are taking medications on a regular basis, check to see if there are any side effects from them. Since some medicines contain atropine, ask your doctor if there is a substitute. These types of medicines are notorious for causing a dry nose.
