This home remedy will strengthen hair that is thinning due to breaking and will plump up existing hair to make it look thicker. Make a batch of rosemary oil with this recipe and massage it into hair and scalp twice a week.
Use a double boiler to warm one cup of olive oil (grapeseed oil or almond oil will work too) and a five sprigs of rosemary. Let rosemary oil cool, then use pads of fingers to massage into every inch of scalp and hair, thoroughly saturating the hair with the rosemary infused oil. Wrap head with a towel and let rosemary oil remain on hair for 15 minutes, then shampoo and condition as usual. The massage boosts circulation to scalp, promoting hair growth, and the rosemary oil conditions, strengthens and adds volume to each individual hair shaft. Store any remaining rosemary oil in refrigerator for up to one week.
Home Remedy to Make Dull Hair Shiny
You can mix up this home remedy to make hair shine while making your breakfast in the morning. Two breakfast favorites - yogurt and bananas - is all you need to make dull hair shiny. Place half a banana and one cup of yogurt in a blander and puree until smooth. Apply mixture to freshly shampooed, wet hair and leave on five minutes, then rinse out with cool water. Hair will be shiny and smell like a tropical paradise.
Add Body to Flat Hair
Got flat, lifeless hair and wish for a head full of bouncy hair? Use this home remedy trick next time you shampoo - add two teaspoons of baking soda to a large dollop of your favorite shampoo, then shampoo as usual. Flat hair is usually caused by a buildup of oil or styling products on your scalp and hair roots, the baking soda cuts through the gunk and removes it so hair will have body and bounce when dry.
Smooth Dry, Frizzy Hair
Dry, frizzy hair is crying out for moisture, and you can tame the frizz with this moisturizing home remedy. Mash half an avocado, add one-fourth cup of olive oil and blend until creamy. Use the mixture as a moisturizing hair mask by applying it all over head and massaging into scalp. Wrap head in a towel and leave on for 15 minutes. Rinse with cool water and follow up with a normal shampoo. Use this moisturizing home remedy twice a week for smooth, sleek hair.
Stop Itchy Dandruff with this Home Remedy
Stop scratching your scalp and brushing away dandruff from your shoulders with this home remedy. Pour one half cup of apple cider vinegar, one cup of water and two sprigs of fresh mint (2 mint tea bags will work) into a pot, then heat until warm. Remove from heat, allow to cool, then strain into small bottle.. Prior to your next shampoo, apply the entire mixture to scalp and hair, massage in and let set for 20 minutes, then shampoo as usual. The apple cider vinegar restores the natural Ph level to the scalp and removes the dead skin buildup on the scalp, both of which causes itching and dandruff.
