Searching for home remedies for hangovers? If you did a little too much celebrating last night, you probably are. A hangover can make you feel miserable. And, when you are suffering from one, you want nothing more than to make the pain and nausea go away as quickly as possible. Fortunately, there are plenty of home remedies for hangovers that actually do work. Here are just a few of them.

Drink Plenty of Water

There's a reason being hung over feels so bad. It's because you're body is massively dehydrated. You might have been drinking like a fish the night before. But all of that alcohol sapped your body of the moisture it needs to feel a hundred perecent.

This is why the most commonly used home remedies for hangovers is to drink water. Lots and lots of water. Start drinking water as soon as you come in from your night on the town. Drink more water as soon as you get up in the morning. And don't stop drinking water for the rest of the day, even after you've started to feel better.

Actually, drinking anything will do you some goo, including fruit juice, clear sodas, and ginger ales. However, avoid beverages that contain caffeine. They will just dehydrate you even more, and defeat the whole purpose of drinking plenty of fluids.

Drink Something Salty

As far as home remedies for hangovers go, this might seem like one of the more unusual ones. But getting some salt into your system will actually make you feel better. The easiest way to do it is to put some salt in a glass of water and drink it down. But, if you want something more palatable, you can drink something like chicken or beef bullion. And, if you like pickle juice, drinking a glass of that will help too.

Take Antacids for Nausea

If you have a hangover, the only thing worse than the throbbing in your head is probably the churning nausea in the pit of your stomach. One quick way to do with it is by taking an antacid. This should settle your stomach down in no time.

Get Something to Eat

If your stomach isn't feeling all that settled, eating anything might sound like the most unappealing of the home remedies for hangovers. But getting something on your stomach can actually help to settle it down, and make it feel better in general. But you don't have to eat anything too heavy, greasy or filling. Try banana, a lightly fried egg, or a piece of toast.

When you are hung over, it can feel like the pain and nausea will never go away. But these simple home remedies for hangover will have you feeling better in no time.
