Home Remedies for Tangled Hair

No More Screaming

Kids have sensitive scalps, and when hair is fine, it becomes easily tangled. Combing out tangles can be very painful. There are products available to help parents comb their children's tangled hair, but special products really aren't necessary. If you struggle to comb your kid's tangled hair day after day, there are home remedies to help you get through the tangles without tears.

The following home remedies for tangled hair are inexpensive and simple. Try these home remedies before buying products for tangled hair. You'll save time, money, and your kid's hair will be exceptionally manageable and tangle-free.

Conditioner Tip

Years ago, before parents felt it essential to wash their kid's hair on a daily basis, conditioners weren't necessary. Hair received conditioning through nightly brushing. Natural oils provided the perfect conditioner for shiny, silky, manageable hair.

These days, many people feel it necessary to wash their hair on a daily basis, and as a result, natural oils are striped from the hair. Conditioner makes hair easier to comb by making it softer and more manageable, and most conditioner labels recommend leaving products in for a few minutes before rinsing them away.

My hairdresser recommends applying a small amount of conditioner to towel-dried hair and leaving it in. Most people wouldn't consider leaving conditioner in their hair, but for those with chronically tangled hair, it works like a charm. I've been applying conditioner in this manner on a regular basis, and my hair doesn't look flat or oily.

If your kid's hair is tangled, after washing and towel drying, apply a small amount of conditioner to the palms of your hands, and massage it into the ends first. Work your way upwards toward the scalp. If you apply the conditioner to the scalp first, the hair will appear oily.

Spray-on Detangler

You can make spray-on home remedies for tangled hair that work just as well if not better than store-bought remedies, and you can make them at home for a fraction of the cost. Give home remedies a try before buying specialty products that cost a small fortune.

For dry tangled hair, pour about ¼ cup of your preferred conditioner and ½ cup of water into a spray bottle, and mix it thoroughly. For normal hair, mix together about ¼ cup of conditioner of your choice and ¾ cup of water into a spray bottle. Lightly spray towel-dried hair before combing.

You'll be amazed at how easy it is to comb through your kid's tangled hair. Once the hair dries it will look clean, shiny, and most of all it will remain manageable and tangle-free.

Tangled hair with kids is a really big issues that is such a bid SECRET. So many parents do not know what to do. We provide detangling services and advice; but it is not enough. Most hairdressers just want to CUT the hair-easy way out! Why not try to save the hair first. There is a product on the market(Take Down Remover Cream) that removes dreadlocks-but it works for very matted and tangled hair too.

Tangled hair must be taken seriously. It is a very big issue with parents. We want to save your hair.

I also use this technique. This works on my daughter's very fine, straight hair that loves to tangle and never leaves it greasy looking like most detanglers do. I have long, naturally curly hair and rarely have problems with tangles because I rarely rinse out all of the conditioner. It also helps define my curls without a lot of other products and really keeps down frizz on humid days.
