There are three main causes of ringing in the ears. Exposure to loud noise accounts for about 80 percent of the cases and is the most common cause. Stress is another cause of tinnitus and is the second most common. A long exposure to stress can cause the hypothalamus (part of the brain) to stop producing important elements that help the body function normally. The third most common cause of ringing in the ears is from allergies or sinus infections. Mucous builds up in the inner ear, which can lead to ringing in the ears.
If you are experiencing ringing in the ears, try mixing one teaspoon of salt with one teaspoon of glycerin in one pint of warm water. Spray each nostril with this mixture using a nasal spray bottle. Do this three times a day to help clear up the ringing in the ears. If that doesn't work, take one cup of milk and add one teaspoon of ghee to it. Mix and drink one cupful of this everyday to help with ringing in the ears.
You can also take one teaspoon of mustard oil and put it in a pan. Add a clove of garlic to the pan and roast it. Let the clove cool and then squeeze the clove into the ear so that the oil from the clove falls into the ear canal. This will help get rid of the noises caused by tinnitus. Another remedy to get rid of ringing in the ears is to grate an onion and then squeeze it into a cloth to extract the juices. Mix this juice in a cup full of rice and eat the rice mixture. This remedy also works well for children that have tinnitus.
A simpler method is to drink 250 ml of pineapple juice once a day for a month. The juice will help with the inflammation of the ear and get rid of the ringing sounds.
If you find that your symptoms stay the same or get worse, visit your doctor for medical attention as you may have a more serious problem.
