I myself get sore throats quite often, and don't have time to run to the doctors to get it looked at or treated. I mix a glass of hot tea with a teaspoon of honey. This tea mixture is a common used remedy used to sooth the throat and helps to eliminate the irritation. I also gargle with salt water three times a day, helping to fight off any infection that may be causing the sore throat. I have found a number of sites on the internet that have lots of great home remedies and helpful information.
One good site to go to for home remedies is www.home-remedies-for-you.com/ . This site contains home remedies for just about anything from acne, allergies, back pain, boils, bruises, cold sores, the common cold, and toothache, to urinary tract infections (UTI) and yeast infections. On this site you can read articles, get specialists information, including their names, addresses, web pages, email addresses, and telephone numbers. You can also ask questions, get answers, and search through many already answered questions. You can also find useful health tips here.
Another great site is www.grannymed.com/ . On this site you can ask the expert to answers to questions you may have about health and home remedies. You will also find many helpful advice columns. They offer a home remedies link, and a user home remedy link which includes remedies submitted by the sites users. They also have a kitchen remedies section which is a list of common items found in the kitchen and their health benefits. The site also has a section on diseases and conditions with information, causes and preventative tips.
A third good site to look at for home-remedies is www.recipegoldmine.com/health/health.html. On this site you will find recipes such as absorbic acid ice milk, basil acne remedy, chamomile sleep tea, citrus deodorant, constipation tea, herbal tea for coughs, sinus headache pillow, warming soup, and many more. This site also contains beauty and health recipes, crafts, pet food recipes, and kitchen hints.
Although home remedies can be made for just about anything, you should still see your doctor regularly. Do not completely replace your doctor with home remedies. You should only try one remedy at a time. They should never be mixed as this may cause undesired results. There are many home remedy websites, and you should search through them to find the one that is best suited to your needs.
