Home Run Derby 2010 Live Coverage and Results

Home Run Derby 2010 live coverage and results will be presented here. The Home Run Derby 2010 coverage and results will be provided just after 5 p.m. Monday, July 12, and we will update round by round as the 2010 Home Run Derby takes place. There should be an interesting winner that comes out of the 2010 competition, as most of the best home run hitters in baseball decided to take a pass on the competition this time around. The group of participants that entered into the Home Run Derby 2010 competition is a mix of line drive hitters and power hitters, but there seems to be no clear-cut favorite as to who will take home the trophy associated with winning this year's Home Run Derby.

Representing the American League is David Ortiz of the Boston Red Sox, Vernon Wells of the Toronto Blue Jays, Miguel Cabrera of the Detroit Tigers, and Nick Swisher of the New York Yankees. Representing the National League at the 2010 Home Run Derby are Chris Young of the Arizona Diamondbacks, Corey Hart of the Milwaukee Brewers, Matt Holliday of the St. Louis Cardinals, and Hanley Ramirez of the Florida Marlins. The 2010 All Star Game festivities are taking place at the home field of the Anaheim Angels, so it is a bit surprising that Torii Hunter didn't decide to toss his name into the Derby this year.

Who will win the 2010 Home Run Derby? Make sure to check in here for live round-by-round coverage. Coverage begins just after 5 p.m. PST (8 p.m. EST) on Monday, July 12.

Man, I treat this stuff like the Slam Dunk competition in basketball -- I don't watch it. Couldn't care less. I find it as boring as golf and bowling... watching the best do what they do best? For show? Are you kidding me?
