We're looking for strangers to play along
We hope for a mountain, a stream of love
And starlings that sing in the morning
We'll wait for the right place make our home
And pray we won't make the choice alone
But we want to make this long trip alone
We follow our own paths to our own place
For each of us strangers to call home
But some of us strangers won't come along
We leave them behind by second morning
Forgetting the stranger we love
We follow the road to the place we love
Well, most of us follow, some go alone
And by the dawn of the third morning
We've settled and built up a new place
Tomorrow new strangers may come along
And share in our building a new home
The shadows now fall on our shared home
We gather together, the strangers we love
Forgetting the journey we took along
The roads where we thought we were alone
We whistle and stamp in our found place
And laugh the long night into morning
Our journey has drawn us to morning
We wake and we find ourselves home
We blink and we're seeing the old place
The faces, the places, we still love
The friends we thought left us alone
Were standing beside us all along
We beckon you now-Come along
We wait on the cusp of the morning
With us you are never alone
With us is the place you'll call home
These strangers the strangers you love
These faces a familiar place
Come alone, we call, come along
To a place on the brink of the morning
To the place you'll call come, called love
