"Homebrew" They Rock, and You Will Too

Local Band Review

Dee
I found a recipe for home brew that you all will enjoy. One part rock and roll, 2 parts country, a dash of soul, and add the lead vocal sound of Pam for spice, and together you have "Homebrew".

I listened to the music of Homebrew at the Porier Post in New Bedford, Massachusetts for the first time on a Saturday night. Although it was snowing outside and driving conditions were bad, people filled the hall, and the dance floor was filled, every song.

Originating in New Bedford in 1993 by Randy Santos, bass player, and Kevin DeMello on rhythm guitar, other band members include Pam DeMello, lead vocals, Jack Kelly on lead guitar and keyboard, and Steve Mederois on drums.

The band played a variety of music including some Beatles tunes, Dixie Chicks, and much more. I heard songs that most bands don't play, and they played them well. Homebrew is a great band to dance to or just to sit back and relax and listen to. This band plays great music, they look good and they are friendly.

If you want to sample "Homebrew" check out their website here, where you can listen to "Rocky Mountain Way" and see where their next gig is.

So if your looking for a good time, catch "Homebrew" at their next gig. Homebrew rocks!

This is a great article. Good musicians often don't get coverage. I was married to a man that played in a band with technically trained musicians. Then ended up playing backup for a band that only knew three chord progression in the key of C.

Sounds like something I'd like! I'll go check them out. Thanks Dee!

Good work. It's amazing how many musicians are working at their trade or art all over the country.
