There's something magical about this time of year.
There's no place I'd rather be than here.
Children play in mounds of brightly colored leaves.
Squirrels scurry about, hiding their treasure from thieves.
The leaves crunch ever so crisply beneath my feet.
I escape from the cold, finding solace in glowing heat.
The aroma of baked goods surround, tantalizing my senses.
Here, I can shed my coat along with my defenses.
I feel so loved here and never alone.
I'm thankful, for once again, I've found my way home.
