Homedics 10-Motor Back Massager: Great Alternative to Costly Brands

Todd B.
A back massage is a universal de-stressing agent. For those who can't make it to a massage therapist, or those who can't afford to pay for a massage twice a day, Homedics' 10 motor back massager is a great, strap-on-the-chair massager to relax and de-stress.

The good

The Massage
The name of the product states that it is a 10 motor back massager. The Homedics 10 motor backmassager features four massage points (Upper, Middle, Lower, and Seat). Each position offers two different speeds. The massage offered by this product is second to none. When each massage point is put to it's highest speed, your vision actually blurs somewhat, as you are being massaged and moved and such an intense speed. While this may not be comfortable for long periods of time, it shows the strength of the massage at each point. You may target one specific area to massage, or put together a combination of areas and speeds to customize your massage every time. Each area has a specific slider, and may be put in the off, low, or high position on the control panel attached to the chair.

The Heat
The heating option offered by the 10 motor back massager is pleasant. It can only be turned on if one of the massage areas are in operation, and is only located around the lower back, but offers a nice amount of heat to aid the massaging process. The heat is easily turned on and off by the heat button located on the control panel.

The Car
One great option of this Homedics product is the ability to use it in your car. After using the seat straps to attach it to your car's seat, simply plug the chair into the car with the 12v auto adapted. Bringing the massage to the car may help those who suffer back pain while driving long distances.

The not so good

The straps
The straps used to affix the seat to the actual chair itself are useful and work. They do not work on larger chairs, however, and offer no lightening mechanism to stretch them out. If you are planning on using the seat on a larger chair, be sure to keep your receipt handy, as you may find that the seat can't be strapped to your chair. If you use a regular sized chair, however, you should be fine.

As a college student in need of stress relief often, receiving the Homedics 10 motor backmassager as a gift has been a cost-saving way to receive a great back massage. The ability to customize the experience every time and the ability to heat the back for a more soothing feel makes the Homedics 10 motor backmassager a great choice for a simple, less expensive at-home chair massage.
