Cleaning a home is a chore that most people do not look forward to, but it is something that has to be done. Sometimes cleaning can be difficult due to the strenuous nature of the work. Other times, people pout off cleaning because there are other things to do. But many times, people don't enjoy cleaning because of the fumes, harsh chemicals, and strong odors associated with many of the products uses to clean a house.

One of the most important cleaning products for a home is known as an all purpose cleaner. This cleaner is usually effective at cleaning many things such as glass, countertops, toilets, sinks and so on. Its versatile nature makes it a favorite around the home. But even this everyday cleaner has strong odors, harsh chemicals, and fumes associated with it. Though many of these all purpose cleaners are safe to use, users don't like the chemical smell associated with them.

There are numerous homemade cleaners that work wonders around the house and many are both cheaper and safer than most store bought alternatives. The all purpose cleaner needs to do two things well. It needs to cut through grease, and leave a streak free finish. A simple, three part homemade cleaner can accomplish this while being safe to use and extremely cheap to make.

To make an all purpose cleaner in your home you will need to gather a spray bottle, dishsoap, water, and rubbing alcohol or denatured alcohol which can be purchased at your local home improvement store. Each part has it own unique purpose and together they combine to make an all purpose cleaner. The dishsoap is effective at cutting through grease and grime, the alcohol allows the product to dry quickly and results in the streak free finish, and the water makes up the majority of the solution and is the carrier for the product.

To begin making the cleaner, add two to three drops of dishsoap to the empty spray bottle. Do not exceed 3 drops or you will end up with too many suds for the cleaner to work properly. Next, fill one fourth of the bottle with either rubbing alcohol or denatured alcohol. Then fill the remaining portion of the bottle with water. Once full, put the cap on the bottle and give it a few good shakes. Your cleaner is now complete.

This cleaner costs just pennies to make and is safe for you to use anywhere. It is virtually odorless, will not damage most surfaces and is easily refillable with products that most people have lying around there homes.

Next time you have to clean your house, this homemade all purpose cleaner will let you breathe easy as you use it throughout your home. It's a "green" alternative to the countless harsh chemicals on the store shelves today. It does a great job at tasks ranging from cleaning the stovetop, to the toilet, to your countertops and does so safely.
