6 Beef Stock Cubes
3 Onions
10 Carrots
Potato's
Hand full of Barley
Directions:
First of all boil a pan of water and cut your stewing steak. As the water boils add your steak to the boiling water and add 2 of the beef stock cubes.
As the beef is cooking chop your potato's, onions and carrots and add theses to a big pan. Add water to the pan of potato's carrots and onions so that the water is covering them and then start to boil.
Add the remaining stock cubes and give it a stir so that the potato's, carrots and onions are mixed.
Go back to the stewing steak which should be cooked fully. If not leave till you think it is cooked fully, drain the steak and add to the potato's, carrots and onions stir again. Then add the barley and stir again.
Put the lid on the pan and leave for about 1 hour 15 minutes. Then you have a nice thick stew with just enough juice to dunk some crispy bread in but not to much juice that it makes a mess. Hope you enjoy the recipe it is a easy meal to make and can feed about 6 people depending on the size of the pan you use.
