Fish Biscuits

7-ounces sardines in oil
1/4 cup powdered milk
½ cup wheat germ

Mash the sardines, along with the oil, and mix in the remaining ingredients. Roll the fish dough into small balls, and place them on a cookie sheet sprayed with nonstick cooking spray. Flatten the fish balls with a fork, and bake them at 350 degrees until they begin to brown. Cool these tasty cat treats, and store them in an airtight container.

Moist Catnip Treats

½ pound ground meat
1/4 cup grated carrot
1 tablespoon shredded cheese
1 teaspoon active dry yeast
1 teaspoon dried catnip
½ cup bread crumbs
1 large egg, beaten
1 tablespoon tomato paste

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees, and lightly grease a cookie sheet. In a large bowl, mix together the first six ingredients. Lastly, blend in the tomato paste and beaten egg. Roll the meat mixture into small balls, and bake them for approximately 15 minutes or until they are firm and lightly browned. Allow the cat treats to cool completely on a wire rack, and store them in the refrigerator. These cat treats may also be frozen.

Fluffy's Favorite Fish Balls

8-ounce can of tuna in oil, drained
2-ounces cooked skinless boneless fish
3 miniature carrots, cooked and mashed
1 large egg, beaten
2 tablespoons shredded cheese
2 tablespoons rolled oats
2 tablespoons tomato paste
2 teaspoons active dry yeast
½ teaspoon dried catnip

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees, and grease a cookie sheet. Mix together all of the ingredients, and roll the mixture into small balls. Place the balls approximately one inch apart, and bake them for 15 minutes or until they are firm and lightly browned. Allow these cat treats to cool completely before storing them in an airtight container.

Optionally you can form the dough into fish shapes or other fun cat treat shapes.

Tuna Treats

3-ounces tuna in oil, undrained and shredded
½ cup wheat flour
½ cup dried milk
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 large egg, beaten
1/4 cup water

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Combine the tuna, flour and dried milk, and blend in the water and oil. In a small bowl, beat the egg until it's frothy, and mix it in thoroughly with the other ingredients. You can expect the mixture to be moist and sticky. Shape the mixture into marble-size balls, and place them on baking sheets sprayed with nonstick cooking spray. Lightly flatten each ball, and bake them for about 10 minutes. Allow the cat treats to remain on the cookie sheet for several minutes, and gently turn them over. Bake the cat treats an additional 10 minutes or until they are lightly browned. Cool the cat treats on a wire rack, and after they are completely cool, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator, or in a cool dry location.

Tasty Salmon Cat Treats

1/3 cup canned salmon or mackerel, drained
1 cup dried bread crumbs
1 large egg, beaten
1 tablespoon bacon grease or vegetable oil
½ teaspoon active dry yeast

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Mix together all of the ingredients, and drop small spoonfuls on a baking sheet sprayed with nonstick cooking spray. Bake the cat treats for approximately 7 minutes, or until they are lightly browned. After the cat treats have cooled for several minutes, transfer them to a wire rack. When the cat treats are completely cool, place them in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
