My favorite homemade bath soak to soak in before bedtime to help relax my body and calm my mind naturally is my homemade chamomile mint bath soak. It has a soothing chamomile mint scent and it helps pamper my body and skin naturally.
The natural ingredients needed to made the chamomile mint bath soak are 3 cups of dried chamomile flowers, 3 cups of dried peppermint leaves, 6 cups of Epsom salt and 4 cups of buttermilk powder. You can find these natural ingredients at any grocery store or whole food store if you don't have them on hand already in your kitchen cabinets.
The materials you will need to make the chamomile mint bath soak are a large mixing bowl, a large mixing spoon and a large storage container or jar. You should be able to find these materials in your local dollars store, kitchen store, or grocery store if you don't already have them on hand already.
To make the homemade chamomile mint bath soak all you do is toss all the ingredients into the large mixing bowl and combine them together with a spoon until you have a bath soak with a whitish powdery appearance with chamomile flowers and peppermint leaves throughout. Then all you do is pour the bath soak into the container or jar and store it next to the bathtub until you are ready to use it. The bath soak should stay fresh for about one month because salt is a natural preservative.
Now, the best time to use the homemade chamomile mint bath soak is right before bedtime because it does help soothe the mind and make you sleepy naturally since chamomile does have natural sedative properties in it. The peppermint leaves in the bath soak even help soothe the mind and relieve stress as well as body aches so you can fall asleep a bit easier as well.
When you are ready to soak in the homemade chamomile mint bath soak simply fill up the bathtub up with hot water and pour in about a cup of the bath soak into it. Then allow the bath soak to dissolve and release the soothing chamomile mint aroma into the air of the bathroom. Once the bath is ready simply get into the bath and soak for as long as you can. I usually soak in this bath soak for an hour, but do the amount of time that feels right to you. Once the bath is over you should feel relaxed, soothed and calm and be able to fall asleep easily. In addition, all your body aches and pains should be gone away too. You may use this homemade chamomile mint bath soak every night before bedtime or whenever you need help relaxing from a rough day. I wish you all a wonderful relaxing peaceful sleep.
