If you plan on hosting a party this Christmas, you will need to send out invitations. Purchasing invitations can be expensive and impersonal. There are many ways you can create your own Creative Christmas Invitations for your party instead of buying them. Here are just a few ideas you can use to create homemade party invitations.

Empty glass bulbornaments are wonderful when creating your own homemade Christmas ornaments. They also can be great to use for your Christmas Party Invitations. Simply write down all of the details about your Christmas party on a slip of paper small enough to fit into the glass bulb. Now roll it up and then tie it with a piece of ribbon. Slip the paper into the glass bulb ornament and surround it with decorative Christmas confetti. You will obviously want to hand deliver these invitations, so this idea would work best for those who are in town. You can send these invitations out to guests who live further away, but it may be costly.

Christmas is the time for gingerbread. Many people use gingerbread to create gingerbread houses or gingerbread people. Gingerbread is also used to create ornaments for the Christmas tree. Gingerbread ornaments are also great to use for Christmas party invitations. Simply cut out and bake your gingerbread ornament, making sure to poke a hole in the top before baking. Once your ornaments have baked and cooled, they are ready to attach your invitations to. Using the same cookie cutters you used to create your gingerbread ornaments, trace the shape onto your invitation paper and cut them out. Write down all of the details of your Christmas party onto the paper. Punch a hole on top of your paper once you have finished writing down the details. Place the paper back to back with your gingerbread ornament and tie together with a ribbon. Not only will guests receive a creative invitation for your Christmas party, but they will receive a homemade gingerbread ornament as well.

If you have children you can get them to help you create your homemade Christmas party invitations. Gather up all of your children's craft items to create your homemade Christmas party invitations with. You can attach a sheet of paper with your party details on it onto the center of cut out paper snowflakes as one idea. Construction paper gingerbread men can hide the party details inside of their vests as another fun and easy homemade invitation idea. Or you can simply create cards out of construction paper or card stock along with glitter glue, puffy paint, googly eyes, and other decorations. And there you have it, a great way to create homemade Christmas party invitations while spending time with your kids.

Christmas is a time for giving. You can ask your guests to bring a non-perishable food donation and invite them to your party using tin cans. Simply clean empty tin cans and remove any labels. Attach your invitations to the outside of the can in place of the label. You can write something like: Christmas Party 2007, John and Jane Doe, 1234 Walnut Dr., 6:00 P.M., Please bring a non-perishable food donation to help the fight against hunger. This is a creative way to invite guests to your Christmas party while helping out your local food banks.

Many people send out Photo Christmas Cards to their friends and family during the holiday season. If you have a printer, a digital camera or scanner, and photo software you can create your own homemade Photo Christmas Cards to use as invitations. Using your digital photo software you will need to create a rectangle and fill in with whatever color you choose. Paste a festive Christmas family photo onto one side of the rectangle. Now type the details of your party on the other half of the rectangle. Your Photo Christmas Card Invitations are now ready to print out for distribution to family and friends. This is a great way of sending out your Christmas Family Photo Cards and your invitations at the same time.
