One idea is to dress up a pillar candle. If you have a hot glue gun you can make a lot of different looks and it is very easy. You can get tiny flowers, beads, jewels or anything you want and hot glue them around the candle. In fact, when I got married I made my own unity candle doing just this. I hot glued pretty flowers cascading down the candle and then I hot glued a strand of small pearls around it. It was very pretty and so easy to do.
Holidays are a great time to dress up your plain Jane candles. You can tie a pretty red bow around a white candle. This could be used for Christmas and Valentine's Day. Hot glue pretty bright colored flowers for Spring. There are so many options when it comes to Holidays. Think green for St. Patricks Day and red, white and blue for the 4th of July.

You can arrange the candles on a mirror in the center of the table. You can leave it as is or you can add some rose petals or potpourri around the candles. You can also find a nice plate or stand and place the candles inside some sand or sprinkle some pebbles around them. A nice idea is to use an old antique plate as your candle holder.
One very elegant look using candles is to place a single tall pillar candle inside a very large vase. It is very simple looking but also very elegant. Something about the crystal or glass and then the glow of the candle. Very pretty!
Tea light candles are great to have around. They are very inexpensive and very versatile in how you can use them. Tea lights can go inside any candle holder. You can even line them on a window sill.
