Homemade Easy Thanksgiving Day Crafts

For this coming Thanksgiving, you don't need to spend a lot of money just to get your home decorated. You can make your own homemade Thanksgiving crafts that you can use to decorate your own home. These crafts will not only be decorative, but you will also enjoy making them and will certainly be a memorable season for you as you make your own crafts.

One of the homemade Thanksgiving crafts you can do for your home is to make your own Thanksgiving centerpiece and table decorations. You and your family will certainly get into the season as you make these crafts.

You can make your own Thanksgiving centerpiece by having assorted pieces of cake stands, a small glass bowl, or even large decorative bowls. Oak leaves, branches, acorns, nuts, figs, star fruits, hollowed out pumpkins, grapes, and other fruits that match the season are also needed for the centerpiece.

To assemble your centerpiece, you can use one cake stand or put one on top of the other to make tiers. Place leaves and branches on the cake stands to create sort of the base for the centerpiece. Place the fruits, the larger ones on the bottom, and then sprinkle the nuts and other leaves atop the fruits.

You can also create a thankful leaf wreath you can hang on your wall. You just need to create a tree trunk and then use your kid's hand to make the leaves. Have your kids write something they are thankful for on each leaf and then glue them together on the tree trunk. Glue everything on a cardboard and then hang it on the wall.

You can also make decorative string of leaves to decorate your home for Thanksgiving. Just print out on your computer or draw out leaves and then glue them together on the string. To make the string of leaves more decorative, you can have each family member write something they are thankful for on the leaves before attaching them to the string.

Another unique idea for a Thanksgiving decoration is to gather large and dried maple leaves. If you don't have a maple tree nearby, you can order the leaves online from a craft store. You can use these dried maple leaves as place cards for your guests for Thanksgiving dinner. Write the names of your guests using a permanent marker on the leaves (it's good to have a little more than what you need just in case you make some mistakes) and then tie the stem with a fall colored satin ribbon.
