For example the person in your family obsessed with beauty and tranquil moments should receive a large basket filled with her favorite scent of bath beads, fizzies, bath salt, and of course a beautiful container filled with the best herbs and flower petals for her bath water. This homemade gift basket should also include specialty lotions, and a few gift cards to her favorite clothing and accessory stores.

Personalized homemade gift baskets to the cooks/ chefs in your family should include a set of personalized cloth napkins bound with novelty napkin rings (by personalized: Initials, family crest, etc), beautiful containers that hold freshly dried herbs, along with other various new kitchen items that are on the market and a bottle or two of flavored oil. Flavored oil is really simple to make. First, at your local craft store, you can purchase a designer bottle with a cork. Next, place a rosemary sprig, thyme sprig, along with any other you wish. If they are garlic lovers the simply take a peeled garlic clove and lightly press on it with a blade of a large knife just enough to make the inside crack a little. Place the cloves in the bottle. Using "this person's" favorite oil (canola, sunflower, vegetable, olive, etc) heat in a sauce pan, before the oils completely and is still quite warm (not real hot) slowly pour into the bottle and cork. The oil will take on the taste o the herbs and garlic and can be used in any dish or salad.

The perfect homemade gift basket for the sports fanatic in your family is one that includes season or select game tickets to see their favorite team, gift certificates for sports stores near you, their favorite team accessories (such as bal cap, novelty pin, magnets, etc), carefully rolled team posters and a framed autographed picture of their favorite sport hero.
