Homemade Gift Ideas for Christmas

It can be difficult to find that perfect gift for extended family members. Often times we may wind up buying a gift that winds up never being used or even regifted to someone else. Making homemade gifts with the kids is a perfect solution. You will make unique gifts that the recipient will truly enjoy. Who doesn't love gifts that are homemade by the kids? It is also a great way to teach kids that giving a gift can be just as fun as receiving one. Here are some ideas for gifts that can be homemade with the kids and given to family members.

Home made picture magnets of the kids. A cute homemade frame can be made from popsicle sticks. Overlap the sticks to form a square or rectangle box that will outline the picture. You may need to cut down the popsicle sticks depending on the size of the picture you will use. Glue the sticks together in the corners where they overlap. Painting the frame in Christmas colors will make a festive and adorable gift.

If your kids are old enough, have them write a Christmas poem. If they're not old enough maybe they could draw a Christmas picture. Use everybody's imaginations. Baskets can be a little expensive but good quality baskets can usually be found at a thrift store for a reasonable price. You can save a little money and no one has to know.
