Ingredients

Serves 12
12 cups Quick-cook oats
2 cups Walnuts, pecans or almons (chopped)
1 cup Banana chips
1 cup Raisins, dried cranberries or dried cherries
1 cup Flaked coconut (optional)
1 1/2 cups Sweetened condensed milk
1 Tbsp. Cinnamon

Directions for Homemade Granola for Gift-Giving

1
Mix the first 5 ingredients together in a large bowl. Stir to combine well. Add the cinnamon.
2
Pour the sweetened condensed milk over the mixture in the bowl. Stir well to incorporate the milk completely through the ingredients.
3
Pour the granola mixture into a buttered roasting pan. Cover with aluminum foil.
4
Place the granola in a medium oven (350 degrees F) and set the timer for 30 minutes.
5
Remove the foil and stir the granola after 30 minutes. Allow the granola to bake an additional 10 minutes without the foil.
6
Remove the granola from the oven and allow it to cool. Stir occasionally to keep moisture from forming while the granola cools.
7
Store the granola in an airtight container. Package into individual jars or containers for gift-giving.
