I love to soak my feet in my homemade green tea foot soak. It has antifungal and antibacterial properties in it that can help fight off fungal infections of the foot, and it contains antioxidants in it to help pamper feet so they can look and feel beautiful naturally. In addition, it helps ease away aches and pains in the feet naturally so they can feel good.
The natural organic ingredients needed to make the homemade green tea foot soak are 2 cups of loose green tea leaves, 2 cups of sea salt, 1 cup of dried buttermilk powder and ½ cup of dried peppermint leaves. You should be able to find these ingredients in any grocery store if you don't already have them on hand. Herbal stores and health food shops also carry these ingredients as well.
To make the homemade green tea foot soak you will also need a large mixing bowl, a mixing spoon and large jar or storage container to store the foot soak in. You should be able to find these materials at any kitchen store or grocery store if you don't already have them on hand.
To make the homemade green tea foot soak you will need to pour all the ingredients into the large bowl and combine them together with the mixing spoon until they are evenly distrusted together. When the foot soak is made properly it will have a whitish powdery appearance and texture with tea leaves throughout it. Once the foot soak is made pour it into the jar or storage container and place it somewhere cool and dry until you are ready to use it. The soak should stay good for at least a month because salt is a natural preservatives.
Now, when you are ready to use the homemade green tea foot soak simply fill up a footbath with plenty of hot water and add in two cups of the green tea foot soak. Then allow the soak to dissolve into the water which takes about a minute and the soak will turn the water a milky brownish color. Next, place your feet into the footbath and soak your feet for about 20 minutes. When you are soaking your feet in the footbath you will notice it does have a slight cooling sensation and a lovely green tea peppermint scent to it. After soaking your feet in the bath it is best to pat your feet dry and massage them with massage oil or foot cream to help pamper them some more so they can stay soft and silky smooth.
To help keep your feet silky soft and smooth and looking their best it is best to use this foot soak 3 to 4 times per week. I personally use the homemade green tea foot soak every night to help keep my feet soft and silky smooth since my heels tend to dry out fast. I do hope those of you who use this homemade foot soak enjoy the way it pampers your feet naturally with nourishing ingredients.
