Lasagna Ingredients
9 Lasagna noodles
2 jars of ragu traditional spaghetti sauce
1 glove of garlic
3 lbs of hamburger
3 tbs of basil
3 tbs of oregano
1 container of ricotta cheese
1 pack of American cheese
1 pack of mozzarella and parmesan cheese mixed
Begin by frying the hamburger, while the hamburger is frying you can chop your garlic up. Make sure the garlic is chopped up fine. Once the hamburger is done frying, turn flame on low heat and add chopped garlic. Add the ragu sauce to the hamburger meat and garlic, let simmer for 15 minutes. Fill your pot with water and put on high heat. After water has come to a rapid boil, add lasagna noodles. Make sure lasagna noodles are fully submerged in water. Boil your noodles for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, drain noodles and rinse off with cold water.
Add basil and oregano to the hamburger and garlic, let simmer. In a 9x13 glass dish lay 3 lasagna noodles on the bottom, top with hamburger. Make sure noodles are covered completely with hamburger. This will keep the noodles from over cooking and getting hard. Add ricotta cheese, and then lay another layer of noodles over ricotta cheese. Add hamburger to cover second layer of noodles. Add American cheese, covering the hamburger. Take your last 3 noodles and put them on top of the hamburger, add mozzarella and parmesan cheese.
Preheat oven to 350-cover lasagna with aluminum foil. Bake lasagna in oven, allow lasagna to bake for forty-five minutes or until lasagna is heated all the way through. You may want to stick toothpicks in lasagna; this will keep the aluminum foil from sticking to the cheese as it melts.
To top this recipe off, make some homemade garlic bread.
1 loaf of French bread
1 clove of garlic
Butter
The French bread already has slices in it; so spread butter into the places the bread is sliced. Take your garlic and slice it, not to small. Put one or two pieces of garlic in the slices in the French bread over the butter. Wrap French bread in aluminum foil and bake for fifteen minutes. You may even grill the French bread.
