Homemade Lip Gloss Recipes - Make Your Lips Kissably Sweet

Bev Cohen
Homemade lip gloss is just as much fun to make as it is to wear! Your lips will be kissably sweet, soft, and moist! These lip glosses are made from all natural ingredients that are not expensive. No chemicals. No animals testing. And they are super easy to make, requiring only a few ingredients!

When you have finished making these fabulous lip glosses, they will need to be put into a container. You can use an old lip gloss jar. Baby food jars work great. You can make extra, store it in baby food jars and scoop it into smaller jars as needed. It is advisable to boil any containers you decide to use to ensure they are a sterile environment in which to store the lip gloss.

Soft Honey Lip Gloss

Ingredients:

1 tablespoon Vaseline

1/2 teaspoon honey

First, the Vaseline and honey need to be melted together. Do this either by microwaving in a microwave-safe container until melted or use a double boiler to melt the ingredients. When melted, mix thoroughly. Pour into container of your choice and allow to cool.

Cocoa Lip Gloss

Ingredients:

2 tablespoon Vaseline

1/2 teaspoon hot cocoa mix

Melt the Vaseline and cocoa together. Microwaving is not recommended. Use a double boiler on low heat to melt the 2 ingredients. If you don't have a double boiler, place ingredients in a bowl and place bowl over the top of a pan of water (this is a homemade double boiler), slowly heating the water until ingredients are melted. Pour into container and let mixture cool.

Fruit Juice Super Gloss

Ingredients:

1 teaspoon Vaseline

1 teaspoon honey

1 teaspoon fruit juice of your choice (berry, pineapple, mango, etc.)

1/4 teaspoon corn starch (to thicken up the mixture)

Using a bowl, mix together the Vaseline and honey. Sprinkle corn starch into bowl and blend well. You can use a little more corn starch to thicken the mixture or a little less to make it less thick. Add fruit juice and mix thoroughly. Put into a container.
