Homemade Macaroni and Cheese

Easy Mac-N-Cheese Recipe for the Crock-Pot

Remember - this is YOUR macaroni and cheese so feel free to improvise! Add green food coloring to make it St. Patty's Day mac-n-cheese. Add your choice of meat or vegetables. Substitute your choice of cheese or add peppers or spices to make your own signature dish - be creative! This is a great dish for kids' parties - all kids love mac-n-cheese and this is a cheap, homemade alternative.

Ingredients

1 8oz. package macaroni, cooked and drained
1 1/2 Tbsp. oil (corn, oil, whatever you have on hand)
1 13oz. can evaporated milk
1 1/2 C. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
3 C. sharp or medium cheddar cheese (substitute here if you would like)
1/2 stick melted butter or margarine

Toss cooked macaroni in oil until evenly coated. Add all remaining ingredients and stir until evenly mixed. Pour into lightly greased crock-pot.

Cook for 3 to 4 hours on low.
