Homemade Manuka Honey Blemish Balm

Elise Marie

I occasionally get blemishes and some can be so stubborn they will not go away for weeks. However, I came up with my own blemish balm that helps get rid of my stubborn blemishes within days. The balm is called manuka honey blemish balm. It has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties in it that actually help get rid of the blemish and helps heal it up naturally.

The organic ingredients I use to make the homemade manuka honey blemish balm are ½ cup of raw manuka honey, 25 drops of tea tree oil and 1 teaspoon of vitamin E oil. You can find these ingredients at your local herbal stores and whole food organic stores. The ingredients are expensive, but once you have the ingredients on hand you can make some blemish balm anytime you need it. You will also need a clean small jar.

The way to make the homemade manuka honey blemish balm is by pouring the ingredients into a small mixing bowl and combining them together until you get a thick golden sweet tea tree oil smelling balm. Then you can scoop the balm into the jar and store it in the bathroom until you are ready to use it. However, I like to store mine in the refrigerator because I like my balm thick and cold. In addition, I find when the balm is cold it is more soothing to my inflamed red blemishes.

The first thing I recommend doing before using the homemade manuka honey blemish balm is was the face well with a daily organic facial cleanser. Then pat your skin dry. After, take a cotton swab, scoop some of the blemish balm up with it, rub it into the blemish, and allow it to dry. Then all you need to do is allow the blemish balm to work its magic and reach down into the blemish and pull the puss and bacteria up out of it so it can heal and your skin can be clear again. You should apply the blemish balm before bedtime because it does look funny and golden on the skin and you cannot really cover it up with makeup during the day time. In addition, if you place the blemish balm on the skin at nighttime it has a chance to really work deep into the pores and cleanse the junk out of them while nourishing the skin.

Now I do hope those of you who have blemishes make this balm and have success at healing up your blemishes quickly and naturally as I have been. I wish you all the best of luck with getting clear skin naturally.
