Homemade Meatloaf

This is a version of my mother's meatloaf. I don't like most meatloaf but this is delicious.

Ingredients

Serves 6
1lb Hamburger
1 small can Tomato Sauce-regular or italian flavor
1 med or large egg
1/4c Breadcrumbs or crushed crackers
1tbsp diced onions or 1tsp onion powder diced onions or onion powder
1tsp pepper
1tsp garlic powder

Directions for Homemade Meatloaf

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Spray 8x8 metal or glass baking dish with cooking spray.

Place hamburger in large bowl. Add egg, breadcrumbs/crackers, onions, pepper, garlic and half of tomato sauce. Mix everything together well by hand.

Place mixture in baking dish forming it into a loaf as you do. Place in oven.

Cook for about 25-30 mins. Check on it, draining grease if needed using bulb baster. You can cut it in half to check for doneness if needed.

If loaf is almost done (hardly any pink left), add remaining half can of tomato sauce over top. Place back in oven for 10-15 mins until done.
Tip
Spices may be altered to taste. Make sure you get the smallest can of tomato sauce.
