You will love this delicious Homemade Peanut Butter Divinity Candy. It is a great dessert for the holidays and make a wonderful gift for a friend or family member. With just a few ingredients, sugar, corn syrup, eggs and peanut butter you will have a batch of this yummy candy.

Ingredients needed for Homemade Peanut Butter Divinity Candy:
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/2 cup water
2 egg whites, at room temperature
1/2 cup chunky peanut butter

Directions for making Homemade Peanut Butter Divinity Candy:
Step 1: In a 9-quart saucepan combine sugar, corn syrup, and water.
Step 2: Bring to a boil and cook until it reaches the hard-ball stage, 260 degrees F on a candy thermometer, stirring constantly until sugar dissolves.
Step 3: After that point stir frequently and test by dropping a bit from your spoon into a cup of cold water. When the syrup forms a hard ball after submersion in the cold (but not ice) water, it is ready.
Step 4: In a large bowl beat egg whites until they form stiff peaks.
Step 5: Gradually pour the cooked syrup onto egg whites, beating continuously at high speed with an electric mixer.
Step 6: Add peanut butter and beat until candy holds its shape, about 3 to 4 minutes.
Step 7: Test candy by spooning a small amount onto waxed paper. Mixture should mound rather than flatten out.
Step : When candy is done, drop quickly from a teaspoon onto wax paper.

Tips:
Make sure the candy reaches 260 degrees F.

Warning:
Use great caution while stirring boiling candy so it does not pop up on your hands or arms.
