Skin can become irritatingly red, dry, sore and raw do to harsh environmental factors such as the sun, dry air, cold winters, pollutions and harsh facial cleansers. One of the best ways to help soothe, rejuvenate and heal irritated skin naturally is with a homemade milk facial mask. The homemade milk facial mask has the ability to help provide the skin with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and natural moisturizers that can help soothe the skin back to proper balance and health so it does not feel like a rough scaly snake.
The organic ingredients that are needed to make the homemade milk facial mask are ΒΌ cup of organic whole milk, 1 cup of English clay powders, 5 drops of lavender oil, 10 drops of calendula oil and 1 tablespoons of honey. The reason I choose these ingredients to make the facial mask is because the milk is soothing and nourishing, the clay powder helps draw out toxins and impurities while lightly exfoliating, the lavender and calendula help repair and soothe the skin and the honey helps cleanse deep down inside the pores while lightly hydrating the skin. You can easily find these organic ingredients from a whole food organic store and even an herbal store. Your local grocery store may even carry these ingredients, but remember the ingredients should be pure and organic for them to work properly with nourishing, rejuvenating and soothing the skin with potent nutrients.
The easiest way to make the homemade milk facial mask is by pouring all the ingredients into a medium sized glass bowl and than combining them together with a wooden spoon until you gets a thick creamy smooth greenish facial mask. Once the homemade milk facial mask is ready, it is best to use right away. The reason why is because the clay will begin to dry up and become a solid form and the milk will become sour smelling.
Now the first thing I recommend doing before applying the homemade milk facial mask to the skin and face is wash and exfoliate it well with an organic facial exfoliating scrub to help remove some of the dead skin cells. Then you can take small handfuls of the milk facial mask that will have a lavender scent to it and massage and layer it onto the skin in a nice thick even layer. After it is best to leave this facial mask on for about 25 minutes, or until it becomes dry, tight and firm. Then you can wash the mask off with warm water and a cloth, which does take some time to do. After the milk facial mask your skin will feel soothed, rejuvenated and well nourished again. However, I do recommend you apply a light moisturizer to help protect the skin from drying out and becoming irritated again immediately after taking off the mask.
I do hope those of you who make the homemade milk facial mask have an easy time making and using it. I wish you all the best with soothing, rejuvenating and hydrating your skin and face naturally.
