Tempt His Taste Buds!

Crystal Ray
Women aren't the only ones who want to be remembered on Valentine's Day with very special gifts. Guys appreciate being remembered on Valentine's Day too, and you can remember the guys on your gift list with homemade Valentine's Day gifts instead of overpriced store-bought items. Anyone can buy Valentine's Day gifts from the store, but the most heartfelt gifts are homemade. The following edible ideas for guys will help you give the guys on your list homemade gifts that come from the heart. Isn't that what Valentine's Day is really about?

A Romantic Meal of Specialty Valentine's Day Foods

If you want to surprise your one and only on Valentine's Day, don't make reservations at an overpriced crowded restaurant. Instead, make a romantic meal at home, and make it different than the usual fare with homemade red or pink foods that are sure to please. Visit Tricia Goss' article entitled, Valentine's Day Recipes: How to Make your Favorite Foods Red or Pink. It includes fantastic recipes that are sure to make your homemade Valentine's Day meal a tasty success.

Candy Bouquets

Who wouldn't love to receive a candy bouquet on Valentine's Day? I know I would! Guys love the sentiment of this very special holiday as much as women, and you can make an impressive homemade candy bouquet for far less than a candy bouquet purchased at your local party store. A homemade candy bouquet will include handpicked favorites, and it will have more meaning than similar ready-made gifts.

Purchase individually wrapped candy bars and other sweets of appropriate size, wood skewers, floral tape, clear tape, green tissue paper, a large flower pot, a floral foam insert, and a big red bow. You can also purchase peel and stick craft foam hearts and other Valentine's Day cutouts from your local craft retailer. Craft foam cutouts are perfect for decorating an otherwise ordinary flowerpot, and they're a better option than messy paints.

Begin assembling the candy bouquet by tapping the candy of your choice to the tops of the wooden skewers. Next, cut out tissue paper foliage, and attach the leaves to the wooden stems by wrapping them up from the bottom with floral tape. Once all of the candy flowers are assembled, place the floral foam insert into the flowerpot, and stick the candy flowers into the foam. Lastly, decorate the flowerpot with craft foam cutouts and a big red bow. The guys on your gift list will love these impressive homemade gifts from the heart.

A Valentine's Day Cookie Assortment

Valentine's Day cookies are nothing new, but an assortment of homemade Valentine's Day cookies for the guys on your gift list will certainly make their day. Try Tricia Goss' recipes for homemade Valentine's Day cookies. She even includes a recipe for message cookies, and these types of cookies are quite pricey when bought from a bakery or specialty store. I can't think of a better way to send special messages to all of the guys on my list this Valentine's Day!
