Winter Scene Coasters
A homemade wedding favor that is easy to make and perfect for hot winter cups of coco is winter scene coasters. For this craft you will need some inexpensive coasters, acrylic paint, paintbrushes, and acrylic paint sealer spray. It is also a good idea to lay newspaper out on the counter you are working on.
Start by painting the entire top of the coaster light blue. Then use white to create snow covered hills. This is done easily by making upside down U shapes. The add trees to you scene using dark green paint. Start your trees above the horizon line and make a green line straight up and down. Then use the brush to make the line appear cone shape like an evergreen tree.
Add snow to the tree by painting white on tip of the tree. Then move the paint out in a triangle shape. Move down to the middle of the tree and make another band of white, but make sure to leave some green in between. Remember to let the paint dry in between steps. When the entire picture is completely dry, spray the top of the coaster with the sealer.
Snowy Candle Holders
Candle holders are an excellent wedding favor, and your can add a snowy look to them for this homemade winter wedding favor. For this homemade favor you will need old jars or glasses. You will also need iridescent sparkles, glue, and paper plates. Start by placing the jar on the paper plate.
Then add glue to the entire rim of the jar. Sprinkle sparkles onto the rim to cover the glue. Allow the glue to dry. Then cover the same area with glue, but this time, allow excess glue to drip down the edges of the jar. Cover with sparkles again and allow it to dry. Just add a winter scented candle to this candle holder, and your wedding guests will love this homemade favor.
Scented Pine Cone Favors
Scented pine cone favors are easy to make and they add a charming touch to any home. For this craft all you will need is ribbon, a hot glue gun, hot glue sticks, scissors, pine cones, and essential oils. Use oils that are perfect for winter like cinnamon, vanilla, and pine. Simply place a few drops on the outside of the pine cone, and it will hold the scent for a long time.
Cut the ribbon into a foot length. Tie it in a bow, and double knot the bow. Then gather the two end pieces together and tie them at the tips. Glue the bow to the end of the pine cone, and this homemade winter wedding favor is complete.
