Wonder Woman is a sexy superhero from the DC comics universe. Her true identity is Diana, an Amazon princess from Paradise Island who has had the power, wisdom and beauty of the gods bestowed upon her. You can make a homemade Wonder Woman Halloween costume using commonly available materials. Here are tips on making the most popular Wonder Woman costumes.

Authentic Lynda Carter Wonder Woman Halloween Costume

To get started on your Lynda Carter Wonder Woman costume, get a red sleeveless satin leotard and a pair of blue satin briefs. If you prefer, you can use a red sleeveless bodice for the top of the costume. Cut out an eagle emblem from gold lame fabric, using a picture of Lynda Carter as Wonder Woman as a guide. Also cut out a belt from the gold lame fabric, leaving a strip above the belt to act as a pedestal for the eagle. Sew both the belt and the eagle emblem to the front of the red satin leotard. Cut out and sew white PVC fabric stars to just the top portion of the blue briefs. Sew the blue briefs onto the costume so that they are over the red leotard or bodice but under the gold belt. Place a small loop of gold lame fabric on the lower right side of the belt. Insert a slender golden rope into the loop. Make a Wonder Woman costume tiara from chipboard using this free tiara pattern, then cover it with gold lame fabric. Wear nude panty hose and gold toned cuff bracelets. If you like, you can also add a cape with red on the right side and white and blue stripes on the left. Attach a red tie to the neckline and small red and white stars to the inside of the Wonder Woman costume cape. Get some tall red boots and attach white tape to the front and top edges.

Kim Kardashian Wonder Woman Costume

To begin making your Kim Kardashian Wonder Woman costume, find a red sleeveless bodice and a pair of plain blue briefs. Sew some gold lame fabric to the neckline. Also hunt down some blue briefs with a white star pattern. If you can't find them, you could cut and sew on some white star PVC fabric appliques to the blue briefs.

Make the Kim Kardashian Wonder Woman costume cuff bracelets and tiara from a chipboard box using these free tiara and bracelet patterns. Find a used ladies' belt in the same shape and size as Kim Kardashian's belt. If you can't find the right type of belt, you could sew gold lame fabric directly onto the red bodice. Spray paint the tiara, cuff bracelets and belt gold on the unfinished side of the chipboard or cover them in gold lame fabric. Use Velcro on the closure to make them easier to fit to your head and wrists. Then apply an embroidered red star to the belt, tiara and each of the costume bracelets. Find a tall pair of shiny red boots that come up over your knees. Apply white vinyl tape to the boots to the front and top of the boots.
